In 1994 was established Plurifarm, the first company in Romania exclusively dedicated to selling OTC and parapharmaceutical products. The company was established in Cluj having 8 employees. After 2 years of activity, the company grows and Mediplus S.A. is established as a full range distributor of pharmaceutical, OTC and cosmetic products. The company also extended its services of marketing and promotion to the Rx products, prior to the adhesion of Romania to the European Union.

In January 2008, A&D Pharma Marketing& Sales becomes a separate business line of A&D Pharma Holdings, after being just a division of Mediplus for a number of years.

At present, A&D Pharma Marketing&Sales is the business line that offers a full spectrum of marketing, promotion, regulatory, public affairs and selling services for a wide portfolio of medicine, medical devices, healthcare and OTC products. Its objective is to become the leader in marketing and sales services for pharmaceutical, parapharmaceutical, dermo-cosmetic and cosmetic products, as well as for medical devices at Central and Eastern Europeab level. Currently A&D Pharma Marketing& Sales has direct presence in Romania, Hungary Moldavia.

The Marketing&Sales business line has a structure of three operating divisions – Medical Division, Consumer Healthcare and Business Development.

Medical Division is the biggest organization in Romania providing outsourcing capabilities in the areas of pharmaceutical marketing, regulatory affairs, medical promotion and pharma-vigilance. The Medical Division includes the departments for Chronic Diseases, Regulatory Affairs, Primary Care, Sales Force Effectiveness and a division dedicated to Amgen strategic partnership. Medical Division has high proffessional competencies and expertise both in medical and comercial marketing, proven along time in partnerships with top producers such as Amgen, Boehringer Ingelheim, Laboratoires Urgo, Pierre Fabre, Arkopharma, Queisser Pharma, Scholl, Face, Millet.

Consumer HealthCare Division represents the strongest sales force and the largest team of Consumer Healtcare marketing in Romania, with 5 divisions, each of them having dedicated portfoloios (with no competitive products into each division portfolio) and dedicated teams for sales and marketing. Moreover, Consumer Healthcare organisation with its own pharmaceutical marchandising team in Romania.
